Humate Supreme™ Seed Germination Accelerator ™ Start your own seed germination sprouts.  Using the potting soil mix (See directions for making sterilized Potting Soil) in a one gallon 6” deep container, preferably glass, place one Humate Supreme™ Starter tablet in the center.  Place four seeds equally separated around the starter tablet, leaving some soil or growing medium between the starter tab and each seed.  Water with Humizer™ tea.  Keep warm, minimum 75°.  Do not let the soil dry out.  When plants are 6” tall, transplant them to a 5-gallon bucket, or outside, prepared with the potting soil mix.

The fact is there have been numerous companies attempting to market humates through the years; some have done humates justice, while some have done them harm. In the early years all research and marketing was head to head against chemicals rather than other humates. Most of the fly by night mine-crush-spread, 40lbs to the acre, type operations went by the way side along the way.

With that said, our research did incorporate all sources of humates, including lignites and leonardites, from various deposits throughout the United States. We zeroed in on a unique deposit in central Utah, which was unlike any of the deposits found in New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, or anywhere else for that matter; as it was rich in humic acid, the highest in naturally occurring minerals, and it plain and simply out-performed the lignite/leonardite deposits. This deposit also had some of the earliest history, and research, prior to our involvement that we could find associated with any humates at the time… including research by Dr. Davis of BYU dating back to the early 1950’s, and a history of raw humate being mined and shipped to strawberry growers in California in the 1930’s.

The bottom line is does a product work or not, and the best way to find out is to give it a try. I’m sure BioAg and TerraVitta are likely good products; otherwise they wouldn’t sustain a market. We feel our products are every bit as good, even better, and we have plans to do some comparative studies. We’ve been involved with humates every bit as long as Dr. John Faust, who claims his research began “in the late 60’s when only a handful of companies realized the potential of humate derivatives” and I assure you we were one of those that saw the potential back then.

We start with a good humate base, which we feel is better than the more common lignite/leonardite deposits, albeit it is in the carbonaceous shale (or soil) family (which is not to say it’s petroleum related as one poster would suggest). It is refined via a “proprietary process” of which has been developed through the years, and converted too various products, including the Humate Supreme™ product line that is formulated for medical cannabis; some of which do contain minimal amounts of NPK (Humate Supreme™ blend is 3-2-1 NPK for Cannabis while agriculture blends have a 1-1-1 blend of NPK), which through synergism with our proprietary base become much more powerful than the analysis would suggest.

Most humate deposits are closely associated with coal deposits, some being an overburden of a coal vein and referred to as “brown coal”.  Lignites and Leonardites fall within this category, in that they are closely associated with coal, whereas most can be ignited and actually produce Btu’s.  There are unique humate deposits that are not closely associated with coal, referred to as “virgin humate”, a term that dates back at least 40 years to the late 1960’s.  These humate deposits are associated with high amounts of natural mineral impregnation, and will not ignite or burn. 

Humates are the primary source of “humic acids” known to exist (humic acid can be extracted from coal in a complex and expensive procedure developed in the mid-1960’s, but to what gain, when they are so readily available in humates).  The term “humic acids” most generally refer to a group of acids; including humic, fulvic, and ulvic acid.   Science still hasn’t unlocked all the secrets as to how and why humic acids work…but there is no denying that they do work; and results can often be extraordinary.  Most of the current claims associated with fulvic acid have more to do with liquid “elixir” for human consumption than those for agricultural use.  There is data that suggests fulvic acid promotes cell development, however fulvic acid is hard to measure and like humic acid there is much too be done on the science front.

The biggest downside to humates through the years is inconsistency…a direct result of the wide spread practice of “mine – crush – spread”, rather than developing actual consistent marketable products that allow the end user a degree of reasonable expectation each time the product is used.  Again, humates come from naturally occurring deposits, which not only vary from deposit to deposit, but can fluctuate within the deposit itself.  Today, we are seeing an increase in humate (or humic acid) based products, and I say Kudos to every manufacture that applies science and good manufacturing practices to producing a product consistent in analysis and product quality, to the benefit of the end consumer and the reputation of humates and humic acids as a whole.
